Wargaming Partners with The Esports & Gaming Agency for Middle East Launch

Today, the Esports & Gaming Agency (EGA) and Belarusian based publisher and developer, Wargaming Group Limited have announced a regional partnership that will bring its popular free-to-play massively multiplayer online video game World Tanks to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.


The strategic partnership is key to expanding the growth of the World of Tanks community as well its other associated titles from the developer into the MENA gaming community. Wargaming.net has recognized the potential of the Middle East where the video game industry continues to grow at an accelerated pace.

In fact, a recent report published by Niko Partners has projected that the gaming market across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt will be worth USD 3.14 billion by 2025.


The region is ripe with opportunity as nearly half of the population in the region is under 25 years of age and have grown up as digital natives with gaming playing a significant role in their environment. Wargaming will work closely with the EGA to strengthen their presence in the region and provide users with some exceptional gameplay and opportunities within World of Tanks.


World of Tanks is a team-based, massively multiplayer online game dedicated to armored warfare in the mid-20th century. With more than 210 million registered users worldwide, World of Tanks has robust eSports tools such as spectator mode and replay file support. On January 21, 2013, it set a new Guinness World Record for the "Most Players Online Simultaneously on One multiplayer online game Server" when the Russian server reached 190,541 players.
